Andrew DeJohn: Working with young people and seeing the effect that movies and media can have on their lives.
Short Notice: What was your biggest challenge in making this short film?
Andrew DeJohn: The language barrier, heat…and lack of proper bathrooms.
Short Notice: What is your next project?
Andrew DeJohn: A documentary following the real life subject of Mother's Milk back to Vietnam, 20 years after leaving as a young girl.
Short Notice: What advice would you give to an aspiring film maker?
Andrew DeJohn: Be bold, try new things and make mistakes. Pursue your vision passionately, but be flexible and go with the flow. Be assertive, but not aggressive. Be humble. Say "thank you" and help other people–it will come back around.
